I loved the book. Very inspiring . There were 2 minor quibbles and this is probably just me. One, at one point one character not only signs the friends up for the retreat but also decides on one of the workshops for them.At a retreat for finding oneself can you say boundary incursion? And the other is the three main characters drink and drink and drink. When they skip doing this it is remarked on . But other than that: the advice given in the sessions would be good advice to any woman and only wish I could go on such a retreat. But one point probably being. I felt as though I were right there attending the Goddess Retreat with these 3 best friends! I too was skeptical at the beginning of the retreat with what appeared to be quite unconventional techniques, but I was hooked by the end. Enjoy your own journey of discovery and joy in living!

"Whoop!" I can hear the ladies now. I loved this story. It's full of wisdom and wit, and it made me want to put together my own "Awakening Goddess Retreat." The story is vivid, the writing lively, and long after I've finished the book, the girls are still with me inspiring me to ever-increase joy in my life. I can see an entire movement of women gathering for their own "Awakening Goddess Retreats." I highly recommend this book.
Very insightful book. My favorite line in the book is, "Remain in the water and swim with the piranhas that delighted in nibbling away a tiny bit at a time, or climb out of the river." What a wonderful way to look at the past.
This is the first book in a long time that I did not want to put down! I loved the characters and the content of the storyline!
I will be reading this a second time because I feel I (or any woman) could gain some real insight into Awakening the Goddess in me!
